Drew Johnston

drew johnston died on the 31 july 2004 aged 45 years. he worked as a toolmaker in the rollsroyce in east kilbride. he lived in blantyre with his wife of 10 years. he had two sisters liz and lorraine and a brother william. drew died doing what he loved the most and that was fishing. it was on a saturday morning he went to lake erich in perthshire with some friends. after just arriving there very early in the morning with his two friends drew had an accident which left him with some very serious head injuries and which was later to have claimed his very short lived happy life. drew was a character having nicknames for everybody. he loved life and lived it to full. he never had any children although he loved them especially his godson declan. he done everything for his family especially his mother rita who was left very heartbroken by his tragic accident. he also had loads of pals who he met up with on sundays for a drink or two. im sure everyone who new him will agree in saying that he is sadly missed and the place is not the same without him. we love u drew.
